Mahanati is one of the highly anticipated films made on the life of greatest actress of all times in both Telugu and Tamil cinema from 1950s-60s Savitri. Heroine Keerthy Suresh is reprising the title character while Samantha is playing the key role in the direction of Nag Ashwin.
Malayalam super star Dulquer Salmaan who is roped to play crucial Shivaji Ganeshan’s role has joined Mahanati shooting today in Hyderabad. Director Nag Ashwin is shooting key sequences on Keerthy Suresh and Dulquer Salmaan.
“We are delighted to have Dulquer Salmaan joining the production schedule today in Hyderabad. He is playing an important and crucial character. Mahanati is being made as a tri lingual in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages.
At the same time, Mahanati title and Keerthy Suresh first look released few weeks back was received to amazing response from audience. This film will be a celebration of the life of Savitri garu,” said producer Swapna Dutt.
Mahanati is jointly produced by Ashwini Dutt and Swapna Dutt on Vyjayanathi Movies and Swapna Cinema respectively.
